The summit saw the Coalition engaging partners and member states on how to take the lessons to regional and national contexts to help course correct and achieve the SDGs.
The Ministry of Social Development of Panama in collaboration with the Organization of American States (OAS) and the Global SDG Synthesis Coalition hosted a discussion with American States and Ms. Michelle Muschett, Assistant Secretary General – Director of UNDP Regional Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean. The discussion focused on the value of the Coalition and the potential of the Partnership Pillar synthesis to support evidence informed decision making in American States. The OAS will convene Representatives of Social Development Ministries across the region in Washington DC in mid-October, the coalition is looking forward to engage with them on how the partnerships synthesis can support their ministerial agenda working groups that includes an area that connects with cooperation and partnerships.
